Biosphere reserve Co-ordinator & Head of the Service, responsible for developing the UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve for the area and overall management of the service.

Tom Hynes - Lead Officer for Landscape and Biodiversity
Responsible for Landscape & Biodiversity issues across North Devon & Torridge districts, including advice on agri-environment schemes, Biodiversity Action Plans wildlife projects and developing Local Nature Reserves.

Matt Edworthy

Matt Edworthy - Outreach Co-ordinator
Matt is responsible for community engagement, interpretation, education and access (excluding Public Rights of Way) issues and activities across North Devon and Torridge districts.  Working with others, he helps ensure the Biosphere Reserve contributes to the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the area.

Martin Caddy – Field Officer (Access and Interpretation

Martin Caddy – Field Officer (Access and Interpretation)
Martin works on interpretation and access issues, his main role includes implementing improvements on the Tarka Trail and along the Coast Path together with involvement in volunteer projects and community groups and schools throughout the service area.

Gigha Klinkenborg

Gigha Klinkenborg - Administrator
Gigha provides office support for the Biosphere Reserve and AONB Services and is the public point of contact for the provision of information about the Service.  She is responsible for updating the AONB, Biosphere and NDABS web pages and the input, management and retrieval of data via the computer systems.

Linda Blanchard North Devon AONB Manager
Overall responsibility for implementing the AONB Management Plan/Strategy and managing the action plan. She takes a lead in developing new ideas and opportunities including partnership working, resource provision and both regional and national issues.

Dave Edgcombe North Devon AONB Project Officer

Dave Edgcombe North Devon AONB Project Officer
Assists landowners, individuals and community groups with a variety of projects linked to the conservation and enhancement of the area.  The aim is to raise the profile of the North Devon AONB by developing websites, newsletters and annual reports, as well as organising events and shows linked to promoting the AONB. He also oversees the various research projects that will ascertain the State of the Environment within the designated area.

Management of Public Rights of Way

The management of Public Rights of Way, structure & boundaries on the Tarka Trail are the responsibility of Devon County Council and is administered through the Environment Directorate Area Highway Management Offices.
