European Funds
European funding in the form of grants is available for activities which support EU policies such as employment, environment or citizenship. The majority of EU funding programmes encourage international co-operation or support projects with a European dimension, for example there is funding to support collaborative research projects involving several EU countries, and grants for environmental initiatives to preserve protected species or habitats which are significant at EU level.
DCC is currently participating in 10 EU-funded projects - either as a partner or accountable body. The total value of the EU contributions to these projects exceeds £9m.
