Doctor Bonkers - Jeremy Strong

Doctor Bonkers! by Jeremy Strong

The author has written many funny books and this is no exception. Doctor Starkly-Bonkers has invented a time machine which unfortunately doesn’t quite work properly and creates confusion and chaos when it mixes up different parts of history!

Madness and mayhem - I loved it!

The Ugly Little Swan - James Riordan

The Ugly Little Swan, by James Riordan

A younger read, this is a story about a poor little swan who hatches but is rejected by all the others because he looks different. After a number of adventures, he realises that he is not really a swan at all (a bit like a famous Hans Andersen tale in reverse!).

With good, colourful illustrations, this story includes some sadness but ends very happily.

This is a great one for sharing with younger brothers or sisters.

Olympia the Games Fairy - Daisy Meadows

Olympia the Games Fairy, by Daisy Meadows (published 1st March 2012)

All is not well at the Fairyland Games but Olympia is on hand to help out and make sure the triathlon runs smoothly.

This is the latest book in the popular Rainbow Magic series which should be in your library from about the middle of March.

By the way, I think there might be some human Olympic Games on at the same time as the fairy ones.
