Costs of the Domestic Violence and Abuse Training Courses
It has been brought to our attention that people are potentially being put off from applying for our courses due to the charge that is shown on the confirmation e-mails received after booking on the online system. Unfortunately, the system has to be set up in a way that shows the maximum fee as the default charge with a further explanation of costs in the body of the e-mail. We acknowledge that it can be confusing and people may cancel their place if they mistakenly believe they have to pay for the course or pay more than they were expecting. Please be assured that if you work for a statutory agency within Devon (excluding Plymouth and Torbay) the fees will be as follows: Tackling Domestic Violence & Abuse (1 x day Foundation Course - formerly known as 'Level 1') = Free NB Devon Partnership Trust (DPT) has pre-paid course costs for their staff in line with DPT's Training Needs Analysis for 2011-12. Please ensure all DPT staff booking on adva training select 'DPT' as their agency from the drop down menu on the online booking system to access this training at no cost to the individual. When asked for Cost Code, please write "DPT" so that we know not to charge you. Please note: DPT staff are however liable for their own cancellation charges if less than 3 weeks notice is given. NB Some Early Years settings are eligible for Early Years funded places on some adva training courses. You can check your eligibility by going to the Early Years website. Please ensure all Early Years and Childcare (EYCS) staff booking on adva training select 'Early Years' as their agency from the drop down menu on the online booking system to access this training at no cost to the individual. When asked for cost code please put "EYCS". Please note: EYCS staff are however liable for their own cancellation charges if less than 3 weeks notice is given. If you work in the Private Sector for an agency outside Devon the costs will be as follows: Tackling Domestic Violence & Abuse (1 x day Foundation Course - formerly known as 'Level 1') = £70 If you work in the Voluntary Sector all courses are FREE but there is a limit of three free spaces on each course. |

Tackling Domestic Violence & Abuse (1 x day Foundation Course - formerly known as 'Level 1'):
Free for delegates from most statutory agencies within Devon
Free to most voluntary agencies within Devon
£70 for each delegate from all agencies outside Devon* and from private agencies
There is a cancellation charge of £100 if less than three weeks’ notice is given.
Domestic Violence & Abuse - The Impact on Children (2 x day Accredited Programme - formerly known as 'Level 2'):
£150 for each delegate from most statutory agencies within Devon
Free to most voluntary agencies within Devon
£280 for each delegate from all agencies outside Devon* and from private agencies
There is a cancellation charge of £300 if less than three weeks’ notice is given
The MARAC Process in Devon - increasing safety for victims of domestic violence and abuse:
£10 for each delegate from most statutory agencies within Devon
Free to most voluntary agencies within Devon
£100 for each delegate from all agencies outside Devon* and from private agencies
There is a cancellation charge of £110 if less than three weeks’ notice is given.

*Please note that the category “outside Devon” includes Torbay and Plymouth
