Waste Local Plan
The County Council is required as Waste Planning Authority to include strategic and detailed policies relating to waste management. Prior to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, strategic policies were included in its Structure Plan and more detailed policies within the Waste Local Plan.
The Waste Local Plan was adopted on 30th June 2006, and can be viewed through the links below. The Plan was due to lapse on 30th June 2009, but the Secretary of State has directed that all of its policies be saved for an extended period. A copy of the direction is available through the link below.
Parts A and B of the Adopted Plan have been amended to include the recommendations contained in the Inspector's Report, and changes have been made to the text and the Inset Plans to reflect the current position as at 1st January 2006.
