- Devon has a new Domestic Violence and Abuse Helpline which is 0345 155 1074. Once connected, users can be put through to their local Specialist Support Service which will be either Stop Abuse for Everyone (Exeter, East and Mid Devon), North Devon Against Domestic Abuse (North Devon and Torridge) or Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (South Hams, Teignbridge and West Devon)
- Adva launched the “Is this love?” campaign for this year's Valentine's Day, aiming to raise awareness of the different aspects of domestic violence and abuse. The campaign was centred around an interactive online quiz. Find out more about this campaign and 2 others >>
- A member of SEEDS Devon, Jeanette Brown, has created the 'Wishing Tree' which came out of an art project involving service users of Stop Abuse for Everyone. The stars on the tree represent the 104 people throughout the UK who had been reported in the press as having tragically lost their lives through domestic violence and abuse during 2012. It should be noted that the people represented on the Tree are only ones that were reported in the Press and not necessarily indicative of the total number of domestic abuse deaths throughout the year. Here are the pictures, one of the tree and one of a close-up of one of the stars.
