Use of a wordlist with Word

Use of a wordlist or on-screen vocabulary document with the Word wordprocessor.
The list of words or phrases has to be produced as a separate file to the other text materials. It is saved as a Word document file with a simple yet meaningful title within the same directory. This ensures efficient access to the same batch of resources.
The worksheet is opened up and then minimised so that it shows as an icon on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. The wordlist is then also opened and minimised.
The worksheet icon is clicked by the student and then when required the wordlist is activated by clicking on the appropriate icon on the taskbar. The size of the window to display the work sheet can be modified by use of the restore button on the titlebar and adjusting the size of the windowframe by dragging the righthand corner.

The final positioning of the frames can be similar to that in figure 1, so allowing students to be able to work on the main body of the text while be able to refer to the wordlist. Words and phrases can be highlighted and copied, by dragging across frames, into the main body of the text.
Alternatively the worksheet and the wordlist can be set up so that each window takes up approximately half the screen. The method of use is similar to that above.
If frame re-sizing creates problems then the selecting and de-selecting of the minimise function when the wordlist needs to be referred to is also a suitable method.
