Poems from Beacon Primary

The daunting stain glass windows throw amazing colours on the church floor,
They are gigantic towers looking over everyone.
In the church they tell you whether it is night or day

Stain glass windows have fascinating pictures; famous people and saints are living in the glass.
They look just like photographs when the sun is shining.

You cannot see any colours from outside, but when you enter God’s house all you can see are elegant colours.
They do not look real because you cannot feel them.

All of these things make me feel like I want to stay in the magnificent church.

It is so comfortable I could sit and think all day and thank him for his lovely house.

The sun coming through,
glistening down,
Is like a rainbow of colours,
shining through onto the altar.

The immense size of the stain glass windows,
completely dominate the atmosphere
creating a calm and peaceful environment.

The exquisite colours glowing down on a hot summers day,
with the birds singing the hymns of the Lord.

I walk through the magical pathway
And enter God’s home.

I feel spirits floating around me.
I look up at the ceiling
And see spooky faces beaming light.
I can see strong colours like a powerful rainbow shining through.

I glance around God’s palace its like a gigantic natural cave.
The massive screen reminds me of God’s goodness

The atmosphere is so peaceful,
The feeling so gentle.
I pray to say thank-you for letting me in your house.

As Jesus comes in his glory

The vivid colours make me dizzy.

The wonderful carvings make me stare,

The brightness of his power.

They show his love for every flower.

Life-like is the word,

In this peaceful church.
