South Africa: The long road from racism to democracy - these materials are the first stage of a publication which will provide a variety of teaching resources to support schools as they consider ways to respond to the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry.

The German photographer, Jurgen Schadeberg, arrived in South Africa almost at the start of apartheid. His work documents black life through the years of apartheid and into the new democracy.
