I have been elected as a County Councillor for the electoral division of Torrington Rural. I intend to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion.

I am, however, a member of the Liberal Democrat Party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. I am married to Jane, have two children and three grandchildren.  I became a County Councillor in 1991 and a Member of Torridge District Council in 1995.  I am also a Member of Torrington Town Council, Torrington Liberal Democrats and Plough Arts as well as being a Governor at Marland School and a Trustee to Torrington and District CDT.

I became a Councillor to help local people with local problems and to improve the area in which we live.  My special interests are the development and culture in Devon, improving conditions in education and ensuring a fair deal for Social Services.

My Priorities/Objectives

My priorities are to secure affordable homes, the provision of quality education for all, access to culture and local employment.
