CHANGES AT DEVON RECORD OFFICE

From 1 April 2012 the Devon Record Office in Exeter will be closed on Mondays and the North Devon Record Office in Barnstaple will be closed on Wednesdays.

The public searchroom will be closed, and we will not deal with email, postal and telephone queries on that day.  These changes will allow us to focus on improving public access to our collections by concentrating on digitisation, increasing online availability of documents, reducing our cataloguing backlogs and working with communities to develop access to their archives.

See our Business Plan 2012-2015 image - PDF icon (110KB - pdf help) for planned developments to modernise our service and to create a flagship Devon Heritage Centre at Great Moor House, Exeter
