Driver Development

If you are a good driver...

… do you feel that your driving skills have perhaps lost their ‘edge’? Are there some areas in your driving that you feel are weaker or could give you cause for concern?
If your answer is ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then perhaps a Driver Development course is for you.

Driver Development Course
A day (6 hours) or half-day (3 hours) of training, if preferred, working with one of our highly-qualified instructors covering the subjects you want to cover. The course will start with an informal briefing followed by a short assessment of your current skills, enabling your instructor to determine the best approach to training. Your input is also very important; you know best those areas of driving you wish to work on, so please, let your instructor know!

Training is also based on best driving practice as advocated by the Driving Standards Agency’s ‘The Driving Manual’ and, of course, ‘The Highway Code’.

If you choose the full day course, you also have the option to experience a one-hour session of skid prevention and control in the Centre’s Skid Car.

On completion of the course, you will be debriefed and given a written report which will reflect your performance as well as providing you with some useful tips.

You will also receive a certificate of attendance.

Having developed your skills, a natural progression might be to undergo advanced training. For more information, see our Expert Driver Course.
