Travel training can help a child in many ways:

They will have more confidence because they arrive at school or college on their own and not on assisted transport.
They will have more opportunities to develop important social skills
Once they have learnt to travel alone it will be easier for them to to make new friends and meet up with the ones they already have.
They will be able to travel independently to other places such as the cinema, leisure centre, after school clubs, work placements.
They will be less dependent on friends and family and have greater freedom.
