School Travel Plans - A Guide for Devon Schools

Click banner for wizard ways to get to school

Click little wiz logo for wizard ways to get to school It is the vision of Devon County Council that every child should be able to travel to school in a healthy, sustainable and safe way.  By working together and developing an achievable Travel Plan for your school we can help to achieve this.  Since 2000, nearly 80% of schools in Devon have developed School Travel Plans and benefited from the grants available.  Our team of School Travel Plan Advisers are helping schools throughout Devon develop Travel Plans, to improve children's health and the school environment.  Your school can be one of them.  This is not so for many children and travelling to school by car has nearly doubled since 1985.  Children are getting less exercise and congestion outside schools is a serious problem.
