Financial Support for Post 16 Students
Further Education
For students aged 16,17 and 18 in Further Education, Education Maintenance Allowances are available. Continuing students may be eligible for Learner Support Bursaries. Both of these are based on parents’ income. See below for more information.
Higher Education
For students in Higher Education (usually those aged over 18 at Universities), financial support is available from the government. This is administered locally by the County Council. To find out more, see the Higher Education Funding - Financial Support Link below.
