Climate Change

Calculating your carbon footprint

Our carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of CO2 we contribute to climate change through our lifestyles.  There are several online carbon footprint calculators to enable us to work out our footprints, and which generate personalised suggestions for reducing emissions, energy use - and energy bills.  These include the simple carbon cutter from the Energy Saving Trust and, for separate coverage of your home, your appliances and your travel, Directgov's ActonCO2 carbon calculator.
