Wildlife Guidelines
The purpose of these web pages is to provide advice on how wildlife issues should be addressed in development work and property maintenance undertaken by DCC, in order to:
- ensure compliance with legislative requirements, especially relating to designated sites and protected species
- identify potential opportunities for conservation gains, in line with biodiversity objectives.
This advice is relevant to anyone who is involved in:
- the development or maintenance of DCC buildings, grounds or land
- highways maintenance or improvements
- strategic route development
- public rights of way.
