Making it Local

Funding for Rural Businesses and Communities

Making it Local is a five year £2.4 million, locally managed grants scheme in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), East Devon AONB and surrounding area running to the end of 2013. It aims to use the outstanding landscapes and local skills as a springboard for healthy and lasting development.

Making it Local wants to fund projects that make the most of this diverse and beautiful area, are sensitive to nature and support local communties and businesses. We want the funding to leave a long term legacy and help people to be more connected with the landscapes in which they live and work.
