Children in care awards
Celebrating the achievements of Devon’s children and young people in care during 2007/08
On 16 January 2009, we will be celebrating the achievements of children and young people in the care of Devon County Council. This is a scheme to recognise, and say ‘well done’, for real achievement for individual children and young people. Successful nominees will be awarded a certificate and voucher, and an event is being organised for presentation and celebration.
This is your opportunity to nominate a young person you think has achieved something significant since last year, in one or more of these categories:
- doing something which shows personal development
- doing something well in sport, music, arts, or social or leisure activities
- doing something well at school or college.
Who can be nominated?
Children and young people aged 5–21 (24 if in higher education) who have been looked after by Devon County Council for 13 or more weeks and are happy to be nominated.
How do I nominate?
