The Complaints Procedure
The Children & Young People’s Services Directorate’s Complaints and Representations Procedure is available to the public on request.
Full information about how to make a complaint and how complaints are responded to is to be found in the Children & Young People’s section of the County Council’s website.
This information includes online forms and describes the different levels and stages a complaint may reach. In addition to the Children & Young People’s Complaints Procedure, information is given about the County Council’s corporate Complaints Procedure, and the roles of the variety of people and organisations in dealing with complaints about social care services. These include:
- The Directorate’s Customer Services & Complaints Manager
- Director of Children & Young Persons Services
- County Councillors
- Members of Parliament
- The Local Government Ombudsman
- Ofsted
All prospective adopters are provided with information about their options for making representations about any matter affecting their application, including the role of the Independent Review Mechanism.
