Naxos Music Library

Naxos Music Library is available from any Devon County Council public library and to registered library members at home.

To access the service from both library and home computers, you will first need to login using your library membership card number. This is the number above the barcode on your library ticket. Please note that this does not include temporary ticket numbers issued to library computer users. Type in the whole number, including the letter at the start and all the zeros, but do not include any spaces.
Content
- Listen to over 230,000 tracks (16,000 CDs) - the entire Naxos and Marco Polo catalogues, plus other licensed independent labels
- Mainly classical music but other genres included such as Jazz, Blues, World and Chinese music
- A 'text resources' section which provides reference material, including biographies of composers, discographies, opera synopses and libretti, educational resources for GCSE and A-Level
Technical note
You can select different play settings depending on your Internet connection:
- CD Quality sound (128Kbps) - broadband required
- Near-CD Quality (64Kbps) - broadband or DSL / ISDN required
- FM Quality (20Kbps) - suitable for a dial-up connection
Printing and downloading
You can only listen to music online (streaming audio). This is not a service which allows you to download music to your computer or MP3 player.
Copies of text articles can be printed for private and non-commercial use.
