Service Points

Service points have been set up in order to provide a vital resource to people in Devon who find it difficult to travel to the record offices at Exeter or Barnstaple.

These points hold microfilm or microfiche copies of parish registers (containing baptisms, marriages and burials), and some of them hold microfiche copies of tithe maps and apportionments (showing land ownership and use in about 1840), non-conformist registers, and some other records for the local area.   

Microfilm or fiche of other documents can be made available at Torquay Service Point when a member of staff visits from Devon Record Office.
