Devon Flag

Devon County Council backs the use of the Devon flag as a way of showing pride in the county.

The distinctive green, white and black flag was created by Devonian Ryan Sealey in 2002 in response to a discussion on the BBC Devon website and was chosen by local people.

The County Council is proud to fly the ‘people’s flag’ at County Hall to celebrate the county and the democratic community leadership we provide to Devon.

The flag was first raised at County Hall in 2006 to celebrate Local Democracy Week.
