The Procedures Committee also reviewed the proposed introduction of a formal public participation scheme for County Committees following a 12 month pilot scheme in the Torridge Area and resolved that no further action be taken on the introduction of a formal public participation scheme at County Committees and that instead those Committees be reminded of the value of inviting representatives of relevant organisations or the public to attend and participate in any discussions on matters of local interest or themed debates, as set out in paragraph 6 of Report CS/05/8 .
