By submitting your photograph/s you agree to grant Devon County Council (hereafter referred to as DCC) perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your photograph/s worldwide and/or to incorporate your photograph/s in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your photograph/s, and in accordance with privacy restrictions as defined by the Data Protection Act.

By submitting your photograph/s you:

  • warrant that your photograph/s is/are your own original work and that you have the right to make it/them available to DCC for all the purposes specified above; and does/do not infringe any law;
  • agree to indemnify DCC against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by DCC as a result of your breach of the above warranty;
  • agree to waive any moral rights in your photograph/s for the purposes of its/their submission to and publication on devon.gov.uk and the purposes specified above.

Wherever used, we agree to credit your images to you.

Where photos of people are submitted, you agree to having the consent of those people wherever possible and if applicable (i.e. members of the general public). If children are featured the consent of their parents/guardians is needed.

We reserve the right not to publish images that are submitted and to edit the comments that accompany the image. The site editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

We reserve the right to crop the images as we see fit.
