Childcare support to be extended to more families

Parents who are working less than 16 hours a week will be eligible for childcare support in the form of Tax Credits from 2013. At present, families can get credits to cover up to 70% of their weekly childcare costs, but only if they work more than 16 hours a week.

Funded early education and childcare for more two year olds

The Government has announced plans for the most deprived 40% of children in the country to receive 15 hours fully funded early education and childcare from September 2013.
