What is the Tourism and Creative Skills for Success (TACSS) Project?

This project supports a vibrant, dynamic and productive Devon economy by delivering a relevant and cost effective skills and training programme to improve the county’s competitiveness in the tourism and creative sectors. It links the two sectors, promoting a cultural tourism network, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practice.

Our visitors and customers are becoming increasingly demanding – key to meeting their expectations is ensuring that you and your staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge to make your business run smoothly. Devon aims to be a world class visitor destination, and to do that we need world class people working in 2 sectors - tourism and creative industries -which are key to our visitor experience.

The TACSS project aims to provide appropriate training in a timely and accessible format for the benefit of the Tourism and Creative Industries sectors in Devon to enable them to remain competitive.
