The County Council has an integrated approach to regeneration, addressing the full spectrum of economic, social and environmental aspects of community life.

Our activities focus on:

• improving the quality of life in communities in the most deprived parts of Devon
• helping social enterprises, community groups and public agencies to plan their activities and manage their resources

The Regeneration Role and Action Programme 2004-2008 sets out our strategic goals, objectives and actions.  This includes:

• support for small and community enterprises
• town/village centre regeneration
• schemes to develop community assets
• assistance with accessing grants and loans
• encouraging local supply chains
