Agriculture

Agriculture is still a dominant sector in Devon, with a workforce of approximately 25,000 and 11,000 farm holdings. A sustainable and viable agricultural sector is essential for the preservation of the landscape as well as rural communities and associated services.
A comprehensive range of initiatives is in place across the County to support this aim, ranging from local food projects to research activities.
