County Carers Forum
The aim of this Group is to support the carers' role within Devon.
Meetings are to be held every four months, in tandem with the County Carers Steering Group.

Membership / Attendees
This group is currently being developed. Membership names and contact details will be provided as soon as these are available.
- Carer members of the Locality Carers Forums and Locality Planning Groups - approximately 10 nominees from each Locality;
- Chief Executives of Devon PCTs and Devon Social Services Senior Management Group;
- County Councillor Members from the Locality Forums and Children and Adult Services Portfolio Holders;
- Carers Development and Support Workers across Devon;
- County-wide carer organisations, e.g. Carers UK Devon Network.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To maintain an overview of all carer issues and services within Devon;
- To identify needs and issues which require an "all carers" approach across Devon;
- To receive reports from the four Social Care Divisions, Adults, Childrens, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health, in relation to specific groups of carers relevant to that division covering priorities, progress against priorities and future action;
- To monitor and review the effectiveness of carer involvement and support across the County;
- To monitor and review the working of the Carers Links Network;
- To make recommendations for action and to monitor outcomes;
- To provide an opportunity to share good practice and information on new initiatives.
