Hello! We are a children’s book group who meet in Barnstaple Children’s Library to read, review and discuss books. Our ages vary from eight to thirteen years old.

We read lots of different types of books – novels, short stories, graphic novels and sometimes we get special proof copies, which are books sent to us from publishers before they’re even published.

At the end of the meeting we all get a copy of the next book group book and an assessment sheet to take home. Using the assessment sheet we score the book out of 100, ready for the next meeting. We get to write reviews of other books we read as well.

Some of our reviews get published here at The Zone. Some of us have even won a goody bag from Max!

This September we celebrated our 10th birthday! and we held our annual book awards.
