The arts and culture flourish in Devon, not only enriching the lives of its citizens, but also making a major contribution to the local economy. We recognise the value of the arts and culture to the people of Devon and through many of our services working with children and adults we aim to foster an appreciation for, and to encourage participation in, artistic and creative activity. We must continue to promote excellence in the arts and at the same time encourage more people to enjoy the benefits of artistic endeavour and appreciation.

The Council is now inviting applications to join the Devon Arts Match scheme. This scheme aims to stimulate an increase in regular giving by members of the public to arts organisations. Guidance notes are available here. (32KB - pdf help) Organisations can apply now on the application form available here. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 31 January 2012 (midnight).
